The Art of Muay Thai

Muay Thai or “The art of eight limbs” is taught by our head coach, originating from the beautiful city of Chonburi, Thailand. Muay Thai is a traditional combat sport specializing in stand-up striking, which includes kicks, punches, knees, and elbows in addition to clinching techniques.

Group Classes

In these structured classes, students are partnered and take turns practicing assorted drills while wearing gloves and shin guards. Next, these drills are transitioned to pad work wherein students have the opportunity to apply more speed and power by hitting Thai pads, low kick pads, and/or boxing mitts. The final segment of class time is reserved for conditioning.

Youth Classes (Ages 6-12)

Students will learn Muay Thai in classes led by two coaches, providing opportunities to work 1:1 with a coach during each lesson. Students also improve their cooperation and communication skills through partner drills with classmates. This typical martial arts environment is based upon discipline, responsibility, and mutual respect, incorporating a more holistic perspective rather than being singularly focused on the physical. We accept all levels: students who are brand new, up to and including students who are interested in competing.
